Christmas Parade in Middleburg

December 3, 2016

A HUGE Thank you to Sona Bank. Every year they allow us to use their prime location in front of their bank during the parade. The CakePop and the hat/glove/scarf sale were both held in front of Sona this year. All the proceeds during the parade sales goes to benefit the animals and programs at MHF. We would also like to Thank each and every one of our volunteers that helped to make the parade a success once again this year. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

We would also like to thank Wakefield School Sophomore Chloe Osborn. In order to raise awareness and funds to benefit the care for rabbits and small animals at MHF, Chole launched a fundraising project called The Bunny Initiative.  Chloe's goal is to fund a Small Barn Building for the Middleburg Humane Foundation. The Small Barn Building will have four free range poultry enclosures with overnight housing, two livestock pens, and four bunny hutches with a grassy area. Chloe sponsored a raffle to the Community for two rear mezzanine tickets to Hamilton on Broadway in NYC and a night stay for 2 at the Grand Hyatt.

Congratulations to the winner - Amber Carey!!

September 28, 2016

Thanks so much to the kids of the Wakefield school who came out to us last week! We had the best time getting to know you and telling you all about our jobs! We hope you grow up to love the animals as much as we do.

A great big thank you to Mrs. Gardner for opening her lovely gardens, Barbara Sharp for creating the gorgeous flowers, Hurst Groves for donating the flowers, Hunter's Head Tavern for the yummy mac & cheese, honey butter & bread, Gary Smallwood for donating his time and providing us with wonderful music, The Fun Shop for donating the balloons, Joanne Masiano for providing professional photography, Middleburg Eccentric for press coverage, Upperville Trinity Church for loaning us the round tables, and last but not least,  thank you to our volunteers for helping us put on this wonderful event!

We couldn't do what we do and save lives if we didn’t have the support of our community. There are so many ways for everyone to help MHF. We have had so many great people support MHF lately. We started out with the Lacaze girls donating their lemonade stand money to us! The next day, the lovely Kaitlyn stopped by with lots of cat beds and fleece blankets that she made by hand! Then Girl Scout Troop 0004 stopped in to drop off a truckload of donations and take a tour of our facility. Last but certainly not least, was Ms. Ellie's 12th birthday tour. She raised money for us through a lemonade stand. When she came to drop off the donation, she even had pupcakes for the dogs. How sweet of you to share your day with us! We are so grateful for support from local businesses. We will receive 25% of the proceeds of Wine-A-Ritas from the Dog Days of Summer event that was held by 50 West Vineyards. We will also receive 10% of the proceeds that were made from Mission Monday at Alter'd State in Leesburg.

Everyone at the Middleburg Humane Foundation would like to thank you for attending and supporting our 21st Annual Gala on Saturday June 25th at Kinross Farm. Through your generosity, we raised over $150,000 towards the shelter’s operational expenses. Our work

is crucial for animals in the region and we could not accomplish our mission without the

support of caring and generous animal lovers such as yourself.

View & Purchase Photos taken during the evening.

Proceeds from the sale of the prints go to MHF.

We had the wonderful Brownie Troop 5088 present us not only with a monetary donation

but also a lot of wonderful supplies we need on a daily basis!
