Companion Animal Adoptions

MHF's companion animal adoption program finds qualified, permanent and loving homes for the abused, neglected and "at risk" animals that have been rehabilitated at our shelter. Each animal is evaluated by an animal trainer prior to being adopted in order to ensure that the proper match is made.  Additionally, each animal is always spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartwormed tested (dogs), feline leukemia & feline Aids tested (cats), & microchipped prior to being released to the new home. Although we are proud of the number of animals we have helped, MHF focuses on the quality of care and adoptions.

There are 45 cats and dogs for every person born.

Only 1 out of 10 dogs born ever get a home.

Only 1 out of 12 cats born ever find a home.

800 dogs & cats are KILLED each HOUR in the U.S., because there are not enough homes for them.

Don't buy from a pet store or breeder; opt to adopt!

AND PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER!
